PESHAWAR: At least six terrorists were killed in a successful intelligence-based operation carried out by the security forces in the North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday, said ISPR in a statement.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that the operation was launched based on intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists in North Waziristan. A firefight ensued between the security forces and the terrorists, leading to the killing of six militants. Unfortunately, one soldier sustained injuries during the exchange of fire.
Recovered from the terrorists were weapons, ammunition, and explosives, indicating their involvement in various terrorist activities, including target killings, extortion, and abduction of civilians.
The ISPR also mentioned ongoing efforts to sanitize the area and eliminate any remaining terrorists. Local residents praised the operation and extended their full support to the security forces in their fight against terrorism.
