PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur has warned the PML-N-led federal government that don’t take him easy, threatening to lead a march towards Islamabad if the province’s dues are not cleared promptly.
During an event in KP, the outspoken PTI leader criticized the Centre for denying the rights of the province, emphasizing that the people of KP would stand firmly behind him if he takes to the streets.
Directing his message towards Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s government, Gandapur demanded the immediate clearance of his province’s dues, asserting that failure to do so would not be tolerated.
Asserting KP’s right to its due share, Gandapur underscored the province’s contribution to the nation’s resources and vowed to pursue its rights relentlessly until they are granted.
Furthermore, Gandapur pledged to legislate for good governance, combat corruption, and bridge the gap between underprivileged and developed districts in KP.
Addressing cases against PTI founder Imran Khan, Gandapur denounced the perceived injustice and threatened legal action against the federal government if the province’s rights are not upheld.
Last month, Gandapur directed officials to strategize on raising financial matters with the federal government, highlighting outstanding dues under various heads including the AGN Qazi Formula and the NFC Award.
Expressing dissatisfaction over the disparity in federal transfers, Gandapur affirmed that all legal and constitutional avenues would be explored to secure KP’s rights, including potential legal action if necessary.
