AUCKLAND: Pakistan is scheduled to play the first T20 International (T20I) of the five-match series against New Zealand in Auckland on Friday, with the match starting at 11:10 am Pakistan Standard Time.

Meanwhile, New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has named former all-rounder Andre Adams as the bowling coach for the men’s national side during the T20I series against Pakistan. Adams, a 48-year-old with international playing experience, will join head coach Gary Stead’s coaching group, which also includes former New Zealand wicketkeeper-batter Luke Ronchi as the batting coach.

Andre Adams, who played one Test, 42 ODIs, and four T20Is for New Zealand during his five-year career, previously served as the fast bowling coach for New South Wales in Australia. He has also worked with the Auckland side and Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League (BBL). Adams will temporarily fill the vacancy left by Shane Jurgensen, who stepped down as the New Zealand bowling coach after the 2023 ODI World Cup.

T20I Series Between Pakistan and New Zealand

The T20I series against Pakistan is set to kick off on January 12 in Auckland, followed by matches in Hamilton, Dunedin, and Christchurch. Meanwhile, Chris Donaldson, the New Zealand strength and conditioning coach, and Simon Insley, the team performance manager, will take a break during the series, with their roles being temporarily filled by Matt Long and Dave Meiring, respectively.
